We received a phone call the day before TRNSMT 2019 in Glasgow Green was due to open its gates to tens of thousands of revellers to ask if we were able to carry out some last-minute design checks as part of the requirements of a Section 89 (raised structures) application. We visited site that day to carry out a survey of the structure and take dimensions of all structural elements to allow us to carry out the appropriate detailed design checks. We done this, produced a Revit model and were able to justify the structure (with a few additional stiffeners) to Glasgow City Council for gates open the next day.
