Hermitage Park Pavilion, Helensburgh

We were the structural engineers for this project working with Hoskins Architects and FBN Passivhaus (Passivhas designer). We were employed by the contractor as their design and build engineers to design and detail a timber frame solution for the building to meet Passivhaus requirements. This required some challenging engineering solutions as the original scheme was formed using a steel frame and we were bounded by the original design. The site was also challenging due to the high water table level therefore wellpoint dewatering was implemented.
