Structural and civil engineering design for a new 1000m2 portal frame warehouse for an independent bottling and co-packer to the Scottish Whisky industry. The additional storage provided by the new warehouse was a major business requirement for the client who were close to their lease expiring on a nearby unit so timescales were very tight.

Our scope involved design of of the new steel portal frame and associated civil engineering to include SuDS and hardstanding. Surface water was treated on site through filter trenches and attenuated before being released at a restricted rate to the River Leven. Site constraints included building close to the existing storage facilities, with loose soils underlaying the site.

We worked with Organic Architects on this one and the project was completed by Colorado Construction.
